Texas Hill Country, SPRUNG A LEAK, and Fell & Hurt My Back

It’s another National Geographic Scenic Highway & Byway Quest drive through the Texas Hill Country and Things to Do in Texas from New Braunsfel to Kerrville …

  1. Years of pain, ice was my best friend. I put off surgery for seven years because I needed to take care of my increasingly ill Mom. I had great medical care and pain management, Mom died the first of January, I had surgery the first of March and regained control of things I had lost control of (squished spine stuff), the pain in my legs was gone, all I had was a bit of pain in my back. Through the years, as I say, ice was the most effective way to control my pain. Good luck to you, feel better soon. I hope there are no residual symptoms from your fall. Love your videos. Be well.

  2. Fredericksburg in TX is I think my favorite town. I am 3/4 german and my great great grandparents moved there in the 1800's. The food is excellent and love the shops. There are several german towns in the area. Enjoy.

  3. I would try teflon tape or plumbers pipe sealant. The pipe sealant says you can put pressure on it right away but I screw the pipe together and let it sit for at least 18 hrs. Then slowly turn on the water. No big pressure quickly.

  4. Have you tried Hemp Extract? I have painful osteoarthritis in both knees and been really taking a product from a company called OPTIVIDA Hemp Extract 540 and their soothing topical gel I rub on my knees and they have also have a curcumin that works really well! I recently re-injured my knees and walking was excruciating. These really got me into recovery quickly! I don’t take pharma drugs. Am so grateful for this alternative. God Bless you with a quick recovery! 🙏🏻🤗 Be safe!

  5. Yay Canada 🇨🇦. I love the East coast of Canada especially Nova Scotia and Cape Breton Island. We are in Ontario just north of Toronto. My wife says I have to see out West the Rockies. Safe travels. Cheers!!!

  6. Backs really require protection, once in the hospital a nurse showed me how to roll a bath towel the long way tightly, then put the towel the length wise way under your spine and lay on it. That technique is as helpful as my Temprapedic mattress. It seems to relax all the nerves beside the spine. Yes, ice is your friend. Feel better and take time for yourself. 💚💙

  7. You are such a brilliant, smart, brave Lady, and to be back in a place that was hurtful for you tells me that you are in charge of your life. It takes a lot to be able to go back, no matter what caused you to leave, but to be back and stare it down. The future is yours, and you are the ruler of your future. You go girl! Absolutely stunning landscape, the road through there looked so amazing and inviting! Thanx for bringing us along! 🙂

  8. Amber, Hope you are feeling better. Back pack is the worst. Just getting over surgery for a discectomy myself. I love-love-love your videos. Which camera are you using for this shot? You have Lumix & 2 Sony cameras on your Amazon account. The video quality of these videos are phenomenal!! Also, you mentioned before that you took an online course on videography. Which course was that?

  9. Back problems suck big time.. my sciatica really gets going with my stupid period with my whole right side of my leg all the way down..and I do A lot of driving for my 2 driving jobs so that doesn't help neither. I have "life issues" as well growing up like everyone else and its a constant battle to stay away from reliving all that crap over n over again cuz it seems I really attract a lot of narcissists….lol..ugh..so sometimes I'm better on my own..🚗🚗🚗🤗🤗🤗🤔🤔🤔

  10. Continue to seek all restoration and be blessed Amber. I will pray for you on your journey to happiness, understanding and all healing. You're a beautiful, helpful and smart person.

  11. You are amazing. i really enjoyed the analytical skills in locating and figuring out the plumbing problem. Seeing you employ the create, do, live theme is as fascinating as it is inspiring. Keep up the fine videos. I am learning valuable life lessons through your adventures.

  12. Might not hurt to go to urgent care and get an X-ray to see if you cracked a bone or something. If it’s muscular they can give you a muscle relaxant which could really help if that what’s wrong. I hope you feel better soon. Thanks for the Texas Hill Country video. Looks really beautiful.

  13. Fredricksburg must try the German restaurants & see WW2 Admiral Nimitz & Bush museums. Town of Gruene doesn't have much German architecture. Aren't you from Washington state? Try Leavenworth, Wa. beautiful German town and architecture & food/pastries. Hope your back gets better.

  14. Like many others, I have had lower back problems. I hope you feel better. I love your mantra- Create.Do.Live. I have been wanting a tiny home for years. Many YouTube videos later, I actually settled on a 4 season trailer. Lss, I have to live most of the time in Kansas City to help take care of my mom. But decided one person doesn't need a 4 bedroom house. So I'm selling my house and I found a place to park my trailer near my home and on my free weekends I'm going to travel and be free. Hopefully I'll be able to spend some time in Texas visiting family, as well as some other places I have friends. Thank you for your inspirational videos and sharing your story. Maybe I'll run into you one day! Safe travels and I hope you feel better soon.

  15. I'm so sorry for your back problems. I have chronic lower back and my neck right where it's connected to my shoulders v 2 or 3. I've been going to the same chiro for years. Most times it's maintenance but sometimes I have a flare up and see him 2-3 x a week. He uses an activator too and then sort of rubs my back. Never pulls or twists my head, neck or shoulders. That scares me and besides I have a hard time relaxing my muscles and my body tries to fight manipulation. I had a flare up recently and that activator must have different settings because it was rat-a-tat-tat. Those gel packs that you can freeze are really good. I've heard tumeric is good for inflammation. I got some pills at the $ store but haven't used them yet. Hope you get your leak worked out.
