  1. Halloween used to be one of my favorite holiday's to celebrate. I used to love wearing costumes and going to parties with worldly friends, watching horror movies and TV shows–the whole gamut of such things. But now my life is very different. The Holy Spirit brought me away from such things. Now I do my best to ignore this satanic deception. My neighbors who still celebrate Halloween probably don't understand me when I discourage them from participating in such activities. One woman in particular used to bring her young son to my door for Halloween candy. It was a struggle to know how to respond. I prayed about it and eventually took her aside to explain that I am trying to be a Christian and that I don't want to have anything to do with Halloween. She looked at me with a vague stare–as if unable to comprehend what I was trying to tell her and she didn't say anything. Just walked away.

As for sugar, I used to be incredibly addicted to it. Donuts, candy, cakes, pies, ice cream and cookies used to be a staple of my diet. The Holy Spirit convicted me to stay away from such deadly poisons. My tastes were so perverted and it has taken me a long time to get used to eating healthy. But it IS happening, which testifies to the power of the Holy Spirit. I quit drinking diet sodas, too, which are as bad as the sugar based sodas. Water is my preferred drink.

Some people probably think my new eating and drinking habits are boring but it's only because they haven't been willing to experiment with something better for themselves. The truth is, I feel better ever since giving up those dangerous items.

  2. Thank you David for sharing this important message it's very serious that we watch our diets and we give glory to God and the way we eat the way we act the way we dress the way we think the way we treat others God bless you my dear brother

  3. There has never been a Halloween I can remember without an incident. In the past, the news mentioned someone placed small needles in the candy and another case cyanide. I would stay away from candy all together.
